Targets

Have you explored and developed your ideas imaginatively? How have you demonstrated this?

I have explored and developed some ideas for my exam, I have also experimented with the pictures taken using photoshop. However I need to explore other ideas so that I have a range of examples.

Have you researched a diverse range of artwork and completed this on your blog? Who have you analysed? Is your analysis in-depth?

I have analysed some photographers that interest and inspire me, however I need to research some more to get other inspiration for ideas and photography styles. So far I have analysed Trent Park, Rankin, Geraldine Georges, Dave Hill and Giacomo Brunelli.

Have you experimented with a wide range of techniques both handmade and computer generated? Which techniques have you used?

I have experimented with using handmade techniques such as adding paint and sketching on photographs, I have also done a lot of computer experimentation with photographs such as changing colours and contrasts, editing into lomography styles and other photoshop techniques.

Have you refined / developed your outcomes through experimentation? How?

I have developed outcomes through editing on photoshop, by experimenting with lighting, contrast, exposure, depth of field, levels and other tools on Photoshop.

Have you written in detail about your experiments and developments on your blog and used this information to help you improve?

I have analysed the photographs I have taken and explained in detail how I have experimented with each shot.

Have you taken imaginative leaps/ shown a sense of discovery/ willingness to take risks in your work? If so how? If not, how can you do this?
I have taken risks in the ideas that I have experimented with, e.g drug and alcohol abuse. I have included photographs of subjects actually taking drugs and tried to explore that effects that drugs have on the mind. I think this is a risk as the topic is not commonly discussed or explored, in particular the negative side to the act which I have included.
To take further risks in my work I think I will continue to explore topics and acts that are seldom talked about or seen in photography. I will also include quotes from interviews that I have taken with real people that have experience the effects of the topics that I am researching.

Have you shown enthusiasm and imagination in your work? If so, how? If not, how can you make changes to do this?
I think I have been imagination within the ideas that I have included in my exam preparation as I have included subjects that highlight topics that are not talked about in day to day life.
Have you created work that is exciting and original? If so, how? If not, what can you do to improve this area?
I believe so as I have experimented with colour, lighting and photographic effects that are not typically associated with the subject of the shot.
Have you annotated your blog thoroughly throughout?

Yes

Have you practised with your exam outcomes by creating mock-ups? Are your outcomes skilful/ well constructed?
No, I plan to do mock-ups of outcomes and experiment with different designs once I have decided on a topic for my photographs.
Have you created an exam plan?

Not yet
